New Computer

by Stephen Fluin 2007.05.12
I understand that this article isn't related to philosophy or science, but I wanted to post it to provide others with a possible new computer they could purchase. I have recently purchased a new computer, and I wanted to share the statistics of it (partially for bragging reasons, partially to justify to myself that the expense was necessary at this time). I wasn't sure at first that I needed a new computer, but when I found out that Oblivion didn't work on my graphics card, I took a second look at the problem. I have had this computer for 5 years now, and it is a 2GHz P4 with 1GB (maxed out) of DDR memory. I also have a GeForce 4 MX which has been causing problems with Oblivion. New statistics: AMD 64 X2 4800+ Brisbane, 2x1GB DDR2 memory (with 2 free slots left), SATA HDD, 8600GT 256MB graphics card, 10/100/1000 ethernet card.
