Censorship is a necessary part of parenting, but when applied to the general population it is a negative and elitist concept. The general population should not be censored from negative or controvertial information because the act of censoring is always seen as negative, and usually causes horrible backlash. The only way to avoid the effects of negative propaganda (such as racist documents) is education.
