Behavioral Issues

by Stephen Fluin 2003.11.09
Behavioral issues such as ADD, ADHD, depression, and insomnia have been seemingly increasing over the past 20 years. These are not diseases, and they are not syndromes, they are simply slight differences in how one person behaves from another. Often the treatment of these things makes the problem worse, and also makes it more prevalent in society. What good is it to give a hyperactive child a pill that makes him calm? Does this accomplish anything besides removing a part of who this child is? We should let evolution takes its course and let it decide what behaviors are correct for the world.
