Recently I experienced a new error when running standard APT updates using the Adept package manager on a fresh installation
The error message was experienced during the download phase of the update, and included the messages "Package Download Failed" and "Wrong CD-ROM". It appears that this error was related to packages installed from disk. The error indicates that the package manager is looking on the disk for an update, but that the disk it is looking for isn't present, or doesn't match what it was expecting. The solution is to perform the following and remove the CD-ROM from your package sources.
kdesudo kate /etc/apt/sources.list
In this file, remove any lines starting with deb cdrom and re-run your updates.
