| Arctic Thunder, while being an excellent game in the arcade, and very similar to hydro thunder which appeared to be an excellent game in arcade was a complete flop in my mind. The developers at midway have returned to the old way of thinking, where vehicles can only go forward, and that racing is simply dodging obstacles. If this was the way games were supposed to be, real life would be that way, which is not so. In the artic thunder system powerups are nearly meaningless because of the constant high speed, and turning pointless because the game will keep you going in the correct direction. DO NOT BUY TIHS GAME IF YOU ENJOY REALISM. |
